The Pargo was decommissioned in the Spring of 1995. The crew were all scattering to their next assignment, in some cases, that meant civilian life. Five of us who were all headed back East, joined up in a 5 car caravan from Seattle, Washington and headed out. Along the way we stopped at Mt. Rushmore, The Badlands of South Dakota and, pictured here, Devils Tower National Monument. The 4 of us, barely visible in the photo, give some sense of scale of the natural formation.
